Cosmetic
Dermal Fillers
There are many dermal fillers available for cosmetic use. Broadly speaking they fall into two categories, these being;
Synthetic
These are man made products which have been available for many years and are suitable for those who have no known allergies to the base line product.
RESTYLANE® has a hyaluronic acid base. The product is widely used for lines and wrinkles of average depth making it one of the most widely used fillers available.
RESTYLANE PERLANE® is a more viscous version of RESTYLANE and therefore suited for deeper lines, making it particularly suitable for naso labial lines ( lines between the nose and mouth).
RESTYLANE TOUCH® is made of very small particles and therefore suitable for fine lines, especially round the sensitive lip area.
LipoTransfer
This is also known as lipo injection or fat transfer and refers to the removal of fat cells (often from the tummy region),which are
then harvested in a special way before being injected back into sites where gravity has taken it's toll.
The procedure is suitable for deep lines (such as naso labial or deep frown lines). This is also a highly suitable treatment for larger areas which have become susceptible to the effects of gravity and can be used to contour the features particularly in areas uneffected by frequent movement ie cheek bones and chin. The potential is vast, some patients have found the treatment beneficial for lips, skin thinning on the hands or under the eyes and décolletage as well as for smoothing out skin imperfections caused by acne or accident.
The treatment is painless and minimally invasive and unlike liposuction, does not require general anaesthetic. Further information about the procedure can be found HERE.
Mr Reuser received specialist training by Sydney Coleman MD and is a trainer in this procedure in the UK
