Fiona was slightly short-sighted and underwent LASEK prior to taking part in the canoe slalom event at 2008 Olympics Beijing
S A had LASIK to correct shortsightedness of -5.75 right eye and - 1.25 in the left.
Post op result 6:6 or 20/20 vision in the left eye and almost perfect in the right too with 0.5 remaining
Mr Honap had LASIK to correct shortsightedness ( -5.75 right eye and - 6.25 left)
Vision is now 6:6 or 20/20.
P Knight had Clear lens exchange with a monofocal lens implant as he was extremely shortsighted ( -14.5 right eye and -10.25 in the left). After surgery he had almost perfect vision at 6/7.5 or 20/25 & wears glasses for reading due to the monofocal lens used.

Louise age 24 had LASEK to correct -4.25 of short-sightedness in both eyes.
Her vision is now 20:20 or 6:6 and she has 0 error left. Perfect result.

Judith was long sighted ( + 2.75 & +3) and had age related vision problems. She had clear lens exchange and multifocal lens implants ( Custom Match).
Judith can see at all distances, without glasses and has almost perfect distance vision ( 6:7.5 or 20:15 and can read the smallest print ( N5 is 2 lines smaller than newspaper print)

I love to swim and couldn’t when I wore glasses. I had also left the archery club but am thinking of taking it up again. There are so many things that are better now. Rosemary was shortsighted (minus 1.75) and also presbyopic ( worsening vision due to age). She had LASEK in one eye ( monovision) and is now better than 6:6 ( 6:5) in the operated eye ad has good reading vision with the unoperated eye.
"When I found I needed different pairs for different things, it was awful and very expensive. I work in an operating theatre and when you are in your sterile clothes, scrubbed up, you can’t just nip off if you have forgotten your glasses or have the wrong glasses"!

Emma was shortsighted ( minus 3) and had LASIK, after which her vision was better than 6:6 at 6:4 in both eyes.
